The article will introduce how to set up email alerts.
1. Install the HDD.
Please confirm if you have installed the HDD inside the box. Here is a link on how to install the hard drive disk.

2.Make sure the DVR connects to the internet.
When your local monitor shows Connected, it means the DVR is connected to the network:
If it shows Not connected, it means the DVR is not connected to the network:
Note: If the status is not connected, it means the recorder did not connect to the cloud successfully.

3.Set up the motion detection on the main screen.

Note:
Please make sure enable Send Email option.
(This step is very important.)
4 .Create and Log in Google account.
a.Log in Google account, go to 'Security', then turn on '2-Step Verification'. Click on 'App Password' to create your App Password (16 digits).
b.Search 'app password'.
5.Set up the e-mail parameter on the main screen.
a.Please go to the Main menu---Network--NetServic. Click the NetService button.
b.Double left-click the Email button. Then fill in the relevant info of your email.
c.Please set up an email in the DVR setting like the picture below. If the mail test succeeds, it is working.
The SMTP server is smtp.gmail.com
The Port is 465/587
Tick the SSL
The user name is your Gmail account
The password is your App password (16 digits) from Google
The sender is your Gmail account
The receiver can be any email. (You will receive the alerts on this e-mail. You can use Gmail or Hotmail.)
d.After setting it up and please choose Mail Testing to test.
When it shows “Test success”, it means this function has been enabled.
e.If the mail testing succeeds, you will receive an email notification for the motion detection from the cameras.
