We have 2 kinds of system. One is DVR with analogue cameras. The other one is POE NVR with POE IPC.
You may find the POE NVR system is more expensive than a DVR system when they have the same resolution.
What are the differences between them?
1. There are 2 cables between DVR and analogue camera. One is video cable used to transmit video signal and another power cable used to power on cameras. But there is only 1 cable between POE NVR and POE IPC used to transmit both video signal and power.
This is the main difference between the DVR system and POE NVR system.
2. DVR is able to connect many of our other analogue cameras or other analogue cameras not from us.
Analogue cameras are able to connect many of our other DVR models or other DVR that is not from us.
But POE NVR is only able to connect the one POE IPC model. POE IPC is only able to connect one POE NVR model.
3. The cord at end of analogue camera and back of DVR to transmit video signal is BNC shape.
The cord at end of POE IPC and back of POE NVR to transmit video signal is RJ45 shape.
