We have 2 kinds of system. One is DVR plus analog cameras. The other is POE NVR plus POE IPC.
You may find the POE NVR system is more expensive than a DVR system when they have the same resolution.
What are the differences between them? Please refer to below:
1. There are 2 cables between DVR and analog camera. One is video cable used to transmit video signal and another power cable used to power on cameras.
But there is only 1 cable between POE NVR and POE IPC used to transmit both video signal and electricity.
This is the main difference between the DVR system and POE NVR system.
2. DVR is able to connect many of our other analog cameras or other analog cameras not from us.
Analog cameras are able to connect many of our other DVRs or other DVRs not from us.
But POE NVR is only able to connect the one POE IPC model. POE IPC is only able to connect the one POE NVR model.
3. The cord at end of analog camera and back of DVR to transmit video signal is BNC shape.
The cord at end of POE IPC and back of POE NVR?to transmit video signal is RJ45 shape.
